A unique experience to photograph The Lake Kerkini Dalmatian Pelicans in the winter. Set in their natural environment, a once in a lifetime Wildlife Dalmatian Pelicans Photography Workshop, guided by Athens Photo Tour native and professional photographer, Dimitris Giouvris and his local support team.
This photography workshop provides opportunities to expand your Bird Photography portfolio, visit great places and immerse yourself in travel photography. We go deep into post-production techniques that will transcend your expectations to create photos beyond ordinary.
The Dalmatian Pelicans of Lake Kerkini, is an iconic photographic subject between the migratory species in Europe. A rather large bird with a wingspan that in some cases measures up to 3 meters. An impressive species friendly to photographers provides excellent opportunities to photograph flybys next to our boat. Feeding the birds ensures some amazing wide angle shots near the water.
We will be photographing Dalmatian Pelicans during all days of our Photography Workshop in ideal lighting situations in morning and evening. Our small group guarantees all participants have access and equal time to get the perfect shots.
Our Photography Workshop is not only about birds, we take you for a travel photography day trip to a nearby WWII fort, with a massive underground maze of tunnels that were constructed to house the Greek army. Completing your visit to Northern Greece is a small foodie surprise, an experience with a local that will introduce us to this area’s delicacies.
A one in a lifetime chance to photograph a rare species combined with expert guidance and small group size. We ensure our participants have a great time, get the best photos during this photography workshop and have a great time in Kerkini lake, in Northern Greece.
